ILSI is a global network of scientists devoted to enhancing the scientific basis for public health decision-making.
ILSI Southeast Asia Region (ILSI SEA Region), located in Singapore, serves as the regional office coordinating and overseeing activities for the entire geographical region of ASEAN, Australasia and the Pacific Islands.
A country office in Australia and country committees in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand provide local support.
ILSI SEA Region also serves as liaison for the Asian Coordinating Committee, responsible for further collaboration and program coordination between ILSI's Asian branches.

Goals
ILSI SEA Region serves a catalytic role at local and regional levels to pursue new knowledge and scientific solutions to important public health issues. ILSI SEA Region also promotes the development of a harmonized approach for food safety standards and nutrition data collection and analyses in the region.
The Branch aims to maximize its impact on public health in the region through the activities undertaken under the governance of six regional task forces. These task forces address key global and regional issues such as obesity, functional foods, micronutrient deficiencies, and safety assessment of foods derived from genetically modified organisms.
To ensure and maintain a high degree of integrity, professionalism, capability and commitment, half of ILSI SEA Region’s Board of Directors is made up of academics.
